X-ellent was developed by Mr. Aadam Muhammad in 2005.  Aadam has spent the past 23 years working in the field of personal development and the exploration of human potential, through the study of great leaders such as Marcus Garvey, Elijah Muhammad and Malcolm X.

A qualified Teacher, Counsellor and Coach, Aadam has been the driving force behind a number of innovative initiatives.  In 1993, he established Leicester’s first counselling and training agency for the Afrikan, Mixed race and Asian communities.  Second Genesis, was the culmination of a unique counselling programme, ‘Counselling From a Black Perspective’ which he authored and subsequently ran for the next five years.  The project assisted graduates of his programme (and other courses) to conduct voluntary counselling support to members of the target communities.

In 2005, he devised the Leicester Gun Crime Awareness Project which aimed to raise public awareness of gun, knife and gang crimes and its causes.  By using his training programme, ‘The Harder They Come’, the project has received favourable media and community responses and has been hugely successful with the Leicester Peace & Love concerts (2006/2007) a combined arts event created to stimulate harmonious communal relations, unconditional respect and positive inspiration to the young.

The 2007 bicentenary of the abolition of the transatlantic Afrikan enslavement inspired him to author a course designed to help raise awareness of the ongoing psychological effects of enslavement, that many Afrikans in the western hemisphere still (mainly unwittingly) suffer from.  The course, ‘Cracking The Willie Lynch Code’,  has already received a great deal of interest and media curiosity, as it is perhaps the world’s first training course written to tackle this specific 500 year old problem.  Aadam  views this programme as his ‘legacy’ to the Afrikan nation.  He aims to spend his life taking this programme to Afrikans all over the world, to help them recognise HOW they can finally and conclusively break the ‘chains on their brains’.
